The last recipe contest for the Pagosa Multi-Purpose Pavilion’s “A Taste of Pagosa Cookbook” will be held on Friday, May 2, at The Quality Resort from 6 until 8 p.m.
All entries must be delivered between 4:30 and 5:30 p.m. and submitted with two typed copies of the recipe in order to be included in the cookbook. There is no fee to enter our contest.
For questions on entries, please call Tari Woods at 731-8877. Our categories this time are: entrees, casseroles and sides. Our panel of judges will again award gold, silver and bronze medals in each of the three categories, and attendees will be able to cast their vote for the People’s Choice Award. We will have music, great food and a silent auction. Your donations will help us secure our own property to build an all-weather, all-season pavilion that will be home to our roller derby gals and a regulation-sized hockey rink. We will be able to host large concerts and rent the facility for private functions, as well. We recently acquired an outdoor ice rink for next year. The fun has just begun. Please join in the fun. The cookbook is scheduled to go to press by mid-May. April 30 will be the deadline for those wanting to be a sponsor in our cookbook; both individuals and businesses can be a sponsor at either the gold level for $100, silver for $50 and bronze for $25.
