San Juan Basin Health’s Promotora will be available for free screening and education in the Pagosa Springs office every Tuesday from 9 a.m. to noon. A promotora is a bi-cultural, bi-lingual (English and Spanish) health educator. This service is free and open to anyone.
Tests provided will be for blood pressure, blood sugar (glucose) and cholesterol (triglycerides). Education and other support will be offered to clients including weight loss support, referrals to necessary health care providers, assistance with securing insurance and other services as needed. Appointments are preferred, but walk-ins are welcome.
