A puppy in action

Upon entering the classroom of Jaye White and Mary Helen Cammack in Pagosa Springs High School, one’s eyes are immediately drawn to their newest class member -— Jaycie, a 4-month old black lab puppy.

The efforts by Cammack and White to create a positive and nurturing learning environment for their students are apparent in the lush, green plants lining the walls, in the books easily within reach from all areas of the room, and by the little black dog that greets everyone walking into the room with an unconditional joy that only a puppy can bring.
