Homemakers to hear about library services

Special to The PREVIEW

Mountain View Homemakers will meet at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 13, at the CSU Extension building at the fairgrounds. A covered dish luncheon will begin promptly at noon.

Meg Wempe from the Ruby Sisson Library will be the guest speaker immediately following lunch.

This is a much-anticipated program, especially since Wempe has promised to explain all the technical services available at our library in words that those of us who are not knowledgeable about the latest technology can understand.

A short business meeting will follow her presentation, and this delightful lady has promised to stay to help individuals with any challenges we have with our phones, iPads, iPods and other devices.

Mountain View Homemakers is a monthly gathering of women who are interested in making the lives of their families and their community more livable. All meetings include lunch and either speakers or a hands-on-community project such as the one planned for April. In July, there is a fundraising auction, and in November the club produces the annual Holiday Bazaar.

There are no dues, and membership is automatic when a woman attends her second meeting. Visitors are welcome and are not expected to bring food.
