At their regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 11, the Pagosa Area Water and Sanitation District (PAWSD) Board of Directors revisited the issue of the draft release of liability for the Laverty family regarding the conservation easement transaction fee agreement.

The item was previously discussed during the Jan. 14 PAWSD meeting. San Juan Water Conservation District (SJWCD) Board Chair Rod Proffitt brought before the PAWSD board a draft release of the easement to sign. The agreement would effectively release the Laverty family from any obligation in regards to the pursuit or obtaining of the Southwest Land Alliance (SLA) work product regarding the proposed Dry Gulch Reservoir.
