Special to The PREVIEW

San Juan Back Country Horsemen invite you to join our February meeting on Monday, Feb. 17.

Sherri and Jim Libby of the neighboring Four Corners Chapter of Back Country Horsemen (4CBCH) will present their program titled “Farmer Cabin.”

This highlights the work the 4CBCH chapter has done over the past few years in partnership with the Columbine Ranger District of the San Juan National Forest on the historic Farmer Cabin, up Cascade Creek north of Durango.

The old cabin was in serious disrepair, but through the cooperative work between the Forest Service and Back Country Horsemen it has been fixed up and will be available for public use starting this year.

For our monthly meeting, doors open at the CSU Extension office at 6:30 p.m. for social time. The cabin program begins at 7:00 p.m. The public is welcome.

SJBCH is a chapter of the Back Country Horsemen of America. Check our website at www. sjbch.org, e-mail sjbch@gmail.com or phone Vern Jahnke, president, at 764-5640 for more information.
