Steven Edward DeVorss, 55, of Pagosa Springs, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 29.
Steve lived his life doing what he loves, being a cowboy. He enjoyed the wide open spaces and spending time with his family.
Benjamin and Elsie DeVorss gave birth to Steve on Aug. 1, 1958, in Colorado Springs. He grew up in Yoder, Colo. and lived in Rush, Colo. until the summer of 1988, when he moved his family to Pagosa Springs.
He was survived by his fiancee of 13 years, Cindy Wilemon, his former wife of 26 years and mother of his children, Kristeen DeVorss; three daughters — Jenifer Metcalfe (J.W. Metcalfe), Jessica Mullins (Jeremiah Mullins) and CJ DeVorss; five grandchildren that lit up his life — Madison Mullins, Haley Mullins, Alex Metcalfe, Kolt Metalfe and Caleb Mullins; his dearest mother Elsie DeVorss; and two sisters — Susan Dennard (Hank Dennard) and Pamela Asbridge (David Asbridge).
Steve cherished his family and loved being a cowboy. He will be deeply missed.
