BoCC considers Liberty Zone petitions

Supporters of designating Archuleta County as a “Liberty Zone” presented 11 petitions to Archuleta County Clerk and Recorder June Madrid on Nov. 26, seeking to have them placed on a ballot, creating a quandary for the Archuleta County Board of County Commissioners.

Only a BoCC can approve an item to be placed on a county ballot.
