Pagosa Springs Medical Center (PSMC) staff is now accepting mammography appointments in anticipation of the opening of the H. Pat and Nancy E. Digital Mammography Suite.

The new mammography machine installed in the pink suite room was designed to minimize the discomfort women experience when getting a mammogram. The machine is also equipped with state-of-the art imaging technology that produces high quality digital pictures to assist in analysis and availability of mammography screening images. Hospital staff is hopeful that the availability of this new service will encourage more Archuleta County women to get mammograms, an important early detection measure for breast cancer.
