It’ll be a “spirited good time” for young ones at La Plata Electric Association (LPEA), as the cooperative will host a special open house for children on Halloween, Thursday, Oct. 31, 2:30-5 p.m. at the Pagosa Springs Office at 603 S. 8th St.

The event is designed to offer a fun-filled, safe environment for youngsters (infants to 12 years old) to enjoy Halloween festivities, according to Steve Gregg, LPEA manager of operations.

“We are really targeting our customers with very young families who don’t want to be out on the streets for trick-or-treating, but want to give their kids a chance to dress up and have some fun,” said Gregg.

The LPEA facility will be transformed (thanks to the “spirit” of LPEA employees) into a “frightfully fun” venue for trick-or-treating.

“We’re excited to offer a safe alternative for young families to celebrate Halloween,” said Linda Looman, LPEA human resources director.

The event is free to all young children accompanied by an adult LPEA customer. For additional information, contact Gregg at 382-3531 or sgregg@lpea.coop, or Looman at 382-3572 or llooman@lpea.coop.
