Jennifer April (Vance) Slind, 35, of Pagosa Springs, Colo., passed away unexpectedly Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, at San Juan Regional Medical Center in Farmington, N.M.
She was born June 13, 1978, in Mansfield, Ohio, to parents Susan (Gillespie) Vance and Richard Allen Vance.
Jen married Scott M. Slind in May 2002. She received her diploma from Madison Comprehensive High School and obtained her bachelor’s degree in recreation and tourism from Bowling Green State University.
Jen Slind resided in Pagosa Springs where she enjoyed painting, volunteering, running and hiking.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 11 years, Scott M. Slind; sister Jessica (Vance) Ebeling; two half brothers; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Susan (Gillespie) Vance.
A gathering honoring Jen Slind will be held at Higher Grounds Coffee shop Thursday, Sept. 12, at 6 p.m. An additional service will be held in Mansfield, Ohio, the date and time to be announced.
