At its regular meeting Tuesday evening, the Upper San Juan Health Service District (USJHSD) Board of Directors approved a business plan to bring two part-time orthopedic surgeons to Pagosa Springs Medical Center.
Orthopedic surgery service is expected to begin in 2014, when the necessary staff and equipment are in place. Agreements with two surgeons are expected to be finalized this week.
