Placing a treetop zipline course on Reservoir Hill may still be an option if the Pagosa Springs Town Council agrees to bring the matter up with town voters in a special election next April, as proposed by Jim Smith at Tuesday afternoon’s Town Tourism Committee meeting.
“I think we should just mention it to town council,” Smith began. “If we think that we want this, then we should put it on the next ballot and see if the town has any objection to it. That’s the procedure. I mean, the whole thing that happened before was so that it has to go to a town vote. I don’t think there was that much opposition to a zipline, and so I think it would be a good thing to get on the ballot so we can move forward.”
