Firefighters control three small, local fires

Lightning sparked three small fires in Pagosa Country in recent days and firefighters report all three are now under control.

Firefighters reported the Chris Mountain Fire as contained last night at 1/10th of an acre and are on the scene this morning conducting mop-up operations.

The Palisades  Fire near Poison Park was contained last night at 1/10th of an acre, and the Airport Fire northeast of Stevens Field was contained yesterday at 2/10th of an acre.
