Free gait and balance assessments at The Den

Physical therapists from Mercy Home Health will conduct free balance and gait assessments, as well as be available at The Den to respond to any questions or concerns on Wednesday, June 26, at 12:30 p.m.

AARP driver safety 

This AARP course will be offered at The Den on Thursday, June 27, 11:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

Registration is required. Cost for AARP members is $12, non-members pay $14.

Enjoy Cafe Fox meals delivered to your door. Our hot meal, home delivery program is available to those living closer to town four days per week, with frozen meals Thursdays and weekends. Those living farther out of town might be eligible for the frozen meal program. Meals are available to people age 60-plus for a suggested donation of $3 per meal. Thursday, June 27 — Medicare counseling, by appointment.

Friday, June 28 — 10 a.m. Stitchin’ in the Kitchen; 10:30 a.m. book club.

Friday, June 21 — Crab cake, cream gravy, peas, tossed salad, brown rice, Mandarin oranges.

Monday, June 25 — Sloppy Joe, whole wheat bun, mixed veggies, Mandarin-spinach salad, butterscotch pudding.

Tuesday, June 25 — Teriyaki chicken, couscous with almonds and cranberries, peas, 1/2 banana, tomato and cucumber slices, pineapple upside cake.

Wednesday, June 26 — Grilled corned beef and Swiss on rye, chunky tomato soup, carrot-raisin salad, peanut cup, 1/2 orange.

Thursday, June 27 — Closed, administrative day.

Friday, June 28 — Birthday meal, chicken picatta, orzo with dill, salad, broccoli, whole wheat roll, sour cream cake with blueberries.

Reservations are required by 9 a.m. the morning of the day you would like to dine at Cafe Fox. You can make your reservation up to one week in advance by calling 264-2167, through our website at www.archuletacounty.org, at select departments and the Senior Center.

Suggested donation for older adults age 60 plus is $4, guests $6. Our meal program is partially funded through the Older Americans Act via the San Juan Basin Area Agency on Aging, United Way, Archuleta County, Town of Pagosa Springs and other individual donations and grants.
