Despite the recent successful election in which Pagosa Springs voters decided to amend the town’s Home Rule Charter so that no mechanized amenities may be installed on Reservoir Hill without approval of the people, members of the Town Tourism Committee still seem unsure about their role — is it to sponsor events that attract tourists to the area or is it to build recreational infrastructure?
“At the events subcommittee meeting last Friday,” TTC Director Jennie Green reported, filling in for committee chair Larry Fisher, who was running a little late, “you guys approved the Chamber’s final report for the car show.”
