Plants and herbs native to southwest Colorado are the subject of a presentation at the June 6 meeting of the San Juan Outdoor Club.

Lake McCullough, owner of Earth Sense Herbals and Gift Gallery in Pagosa Springs, will speak about plants and herbs that are commonly found in this area and will offer information about their edibility and uses in first aid. McCullough frequently leads herb walks and has a wealth of information about our local flora.

The meeting, Thursday, June 6, will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a social hour including light refreshments, followed by the program at 7. The meeting, which is open to the public, will be at the PLPOA Clubhouse at 230 Port Ave.
