In addition to excellent clinical care, Hospice of Mercy provides supportive services to hospice patients and their families and is in need of volunteers to give the gift of time, support and companionship.
A two-day hospice training is required for anyone who wishes to volunteer with Hospice of Mercy in Archuleta County. No prior experience is necessary to volunteer. Volunteers help with patient and family support, grief groups, fund-raisers and/or help in the office.
Training will take place Friday, May 31, from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, June 1, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Mercy Regional Medical Center, Conference Room A, 1010 Three Springs Ave., Durango.
There is no cost.
