Town closes skate pond for the season

The skate pond behind the River Center has been closed for the season.

Higher temperatures and thinning ice have resulted in unsafe conditions.

Please refrain from venturing onto the ice. We also ask that no foreign objects be thrown onto the ice.

Signs indicating the pond’s closure have been posted in the adjacent parking lot.

Adult basketball 

The first full week of adult basketball begins Monday in the junior high school gymnasiums, with the women’s league and the men’s competitive league slated for action.

In the women’s league, Terry’s Ace faces SoCo at 6:15 p.m. in the upper gym and Grether Land and Cattle takes on the Tuff Mamas at 7:15 p.m.

In the men’s competitive league, the Roc Boyz face Buckskin at 6:15 p.m., Alpine Plumbing takes on Slack Attack at 7:15 p.m. and Snowy River faces On The Rocks at 8:15 p.m.

All schedules are available at the recreation office in Town Hall and can be downloaded through the recreation department link at www.townofpagosasprings.com. Concessions will be available throughout the season.
