The Youth Center is one of 18 agencies in Archuleta County that receive support from United Way.

United Way of Southwest Colorado exists to improve the lives of the people who live in our communities.

In Archuleta County, United Way actively partners with non-profit agencies that advance the community good in three specific areas: Education, Health and Self-Reliance.

Before receiving funds, every agency goes through an intensive review process and must demonstrate it serves a community need, operates efficiently and achieves measurable results. Funded agencies work together to share resources and provide services to those in need.

With so many organizations to choose from, you can trust that by donating to United Way, your generosity has a positive impact where it is needed most. Giving to United Way benefits our entire community. “Live United” means that together, we all advance the common good.

The current United Way campaign will close in one month. Unfortunately, the funding for Archuleta County partner projects is approximately $10,000 short of the goal. The United Way staff and partner agencies are working together to bring awareness to this shortfall and are asking for any help you can give to prevent funding cuts to the partner agencies. If we all pull together, then our partners can continue serving the community at their current levels.

To donate to this year’s goal, please call Lisa Jensen at 731-0484 or mail your check to: United Way SW Colorado, P.O. Box 4274, Pagosa Springs, CO 81147.
