Girl Scout Troop 2998 is collecting donations of new and used children’s books throughout February as one of their community service projects.

On March 1, National Reading Day, the Scouts will distribute the donated books to families and child-focused organizations. Book donations can be dropped off in collection boxes placed at the Sisson Library, the elementary school, the Lutheran preschool, the Methodist Thrift Store and the Humane Society Thrift Store.

The Girl Scouts will also be happy to accept money donations to buy books for this project.
