Lamb-Obituary-PhotoVirginia Lee Lamb, 84, died Monday, Jan, 14, 2013, in Durango, Colo. A memorial service will be held Friday, Jan. 18, at 10:30 a.m. at the Allison Community Presbyterian Church and Rev. Alan TeBrink will be officiating.

Mrs. Lamb was born Nov. 11, 1928, in Detroit, Mich., the daughter of Howard and Thelma Lambert. She graduated from Denby High School and grew up in the suburbs of Detroit. She married Jack I. Lamb on Sept. 3, 1948. They raised five children together in West Bloomfield, Mich.

Virginia and her husband moved to Arboles, Colo., in 2000 to be closer to their daughter. Virginia was very involved in many church groups and community volunteer organizations. She was an active member of the T.A.R.A. (Tiffany, Allison, Rosa and Arboles) Communities, and was a member of the Allison Community Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by her five children: Matthew Lamb (his wife, Debbie, and two children: Joshua and Jessica) of Omaha, Neb., Andrew Lamb (his wife, Donna) of Clinton Township, Mich., Adam Lamb of Bisbee, Ariz., Daniel Lamb (his wife, Kimberly, and two children: Savannah and Elyse) of Sahuarita, Ariz., and Elizabeth Powell (her two children: Jared and Rebekah) of Arboles.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack, in 2009.
