An issue with a geothermal line located in the Archuleta County Courthouse caused an evacuation ofcounty employees Friday afternoon.
According to Undersheriff Rich Valdez with the Archuleta County Sheriff’s Office, half of the building was reopened shortly before 1 p.m.
Valdez said he believed steam from a geothermal line set off the building’s fire alarm, causing the evacuation.
Repairs are underway, Valdez reported.
