Tucker Jacobson competed in bull riding and bareback steer riding events at the National Junior High Finals Rodeo in Perry, Ga., June 19-25. Jacobson’s first round in bulls proved to be tough, with no score on Sunday evening. He covered his bareback steer Monday morning, with a score of 55, leaving him 32nd for the round. His second bull ride on Friday night earned him a score of 70, placing him fifth in the second round, earning him a top-10 award. He scored 56.5 Saturday morning on his second bareback steer, giving him a 35th spot in round 2. His two scores in bareback put him as 30th overall, out of 84 bareback riders in the world. He also finished 22nd in the world for bull riding, out of 111 riders, missing the short-go by only two spots. Jacobson finished his final year in junior high rodeo on a plus, and his family thanks everyone who cheered for him and supported him along the way.
