After months of anticipation, opening night for “Bright Star” is finally here. Friday, June 3, at 7 p.m., the cast will take the stage at Thingamajig Theatre Company to begin the 2022 summer season of Broadway in the Mountains.

“Bright Star” is a beautiful and moving musical set in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina following the end of World War II with flashbacks to 20 years earlier. Alice Murphy tells her story of love, loss and hope through harmoniously composed bluegrass melodies that pull at the heartstrings.

Season and individual tickets are available by calling the box office at (970) 731-SHOW (7469) or visiting our website at pagosacenter.org. “Bright Star” will be performed most Friday and Saturday nights in June then in rotation with “Guys and Dolls” and “The SpongeBob Musical” through Aug. 24.
