The identity of the victim of Sunday's stabbing death was released Thursday afternoon.
According to Archuleta County Undersheriff Derek Woodman, the victim is Daniel Fitzpatrick, 52, of Pagosa Springs.
Woodman explained that it was determined Fitzpatrick died of a single stab wound — a transected axillary artery.
