Single-vehicle accident results in death

A single-vehicle accident Saturday night claimed the life of the driver.

According to an email from Capt. Adrian Driscoll, troop commander of Colorado State Patrol Troop 5A, the accident occured at 8 p.m. when the vehicle, a 2010 Ford F250, was northbound on County Road 600 "at a high rate of speed."

According to the email, the "Vehicle ran off of the road on the east side of CR 600 and ultimately rolled, ejecting the driver."

The driver, Ian Weiszbrod, 21, of Pagosa Springs, was pronounced at the scene, the email indicates.

Per the email, alcohol/drugs and excessive speed are suspected. The driver was not wearing a seat belt.
