Seeds of Learning presents holiday cheer

Despite being unable to host its annual family Christmas party, Seeds of Learning and its youngsters found a way to present holiday cheer to families and the community: through a recorded show that can be found on Seeds of Learning’s YouTube channel.

During regular times, our beloved Seeds of Learning would be hosting its family Christmas party filled with families mingling and a musical performance from the little Seeds of Learning reindeer.

Holiday cheer still rang throughout Seeds of Learning last Wednesday. The butterfly classroom children had been working hard to memorize some classic Christmas carols, including “Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer,” “Frosty the Snowman,” “Jingle Bells” and “Frosty is Coming to Town.”

The party might have been canceled this year, but, as they say, the show must go on. Adorned with reindeer antler hats and red noses, the Seeds of Learning children sang their hearts out to the video camera. Board member and Seeds parent Pete Macomber operated the camera and recorded all the tiny reindeer play.

“I know myself and the Seeds families look forward to this performance every year and so do the kids. We thought, why not make a video and send it out to all the parents who could not join us in person?” said Macomber.
