Snow cancels Alamosa cross-country meet

Having their weekend meet canceled by snow didn’t get the Pagosa Springs High School cross-country runners down. Following the cancellation, the Pirate runners rearranged their training schedule and, on Friday, had a chance to have some fun with their annual scavenger hunt.

Last week’s late summer snowfall deposited more than a foot in the San Luis Valley, causing the two-day Joe Vigil meet at Adams State University to be canceled and giving the Pagosa Springs High School Pirate cross-country teams an unanticipated break from competition.
