Pagosa splits with Monte Vista and Alamosa

    In two league games over the weekend, one at home and one on the road, the No. 23 Pagosa Springs High School Pirate basketball team earned its first league win of the season against the No. 40 Monte Vista Pirates (5-7 overall, 1-3 in league play) on Jan. 24, but lost to the No. 15 Alamosa Mean Moose (9-4 overall, 4-0 in league play) on Jan. 25.

On Friday night at 7 p.m. Pagosa will take on the Bayfield Wolverines and on Saturday at 7 p.m. Pagosa will take on the Montezuma-Cortez Panthers, with both games being on the road.
