Pagosa defeats Salida in home opener

    Over two Salida defenders, Pirate Mason Snarr puts up a shot in the first half of the season opener on Dec. 7. Snarr finished the night with 10 points and nine rebounds as Pagosa went on to defeat Salida 50-35 on its home court.

    After shaking off some first-half rust, the Pagosa Springs High School Pirate boys basketball team exploded for 33 second-half points Saturday to earn its first win of the season over the Salida Spartans by a score of 50-35.
