Lee was born in Milwaukee, Wis., to John and Clara Paradowski and was the youngest of six girls. She enjoyed baking, reading and sharing time with her family.

On Sept. 1, 1951, Lee married Walter Lee Johnston. They enjoyed dancing the polka and were happily married for over 63 years. Walter passed in 2014.

Together, Lee and her husband started and ran North American Technical Institute (NATI) in Albuquerque, N.M., for over 20 years. The education from NATI helped many attain good jobs in electronics fields. Later, Lee and Walter moved to their vacation spot of Vallecito Lake, Colo., and built several homes. For the winters of their retirement years, they loved visiting Padre Island, Texas, and walking on the beach.

Lee was a woman of great faith, optimism and prayer. She is survived and missed by her children: Laura Lee (Tim Harper), Steve (Bonnie) Johnston, Larry (Mary Ann) Johnston and Susie (Brent Tanner). Also by her 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Walter, and her great-grandchild, Autumn Marie.
