Pirates Cade Cowan, Kyler Hammer and Mason Snarr navigate a herd of Alamosa Mean Moose in search of a rebound as part of round one of the Intermountain League tournament on Feb. 20. Alamosa was just too much for Pagosa defensively and came away with a 48-26 victory. Despite the loss, Pagosa made the 3A state tournament as the No. 25 seed. The Pirates will kick off state tournament action on Friday against the No. 8 DSST: Stapleton Knights at 4 p.m.
