School board addresses school safety concerns

Students at Pagosa Springs High School (PSHS) participate in a school walkout on Wednesday to protest gun violence in schools. The movement had received momentum on social media and encouraged students to show support. PSHS also organized a time where students could write their thoughts and feelings down regarding recent school tragedies. Students lined the hallways reflecting and writing.

In light of recent gun violence in schools, Archuleta School District (ASD) Superintendent Linda Reed explained at the most recent Board of Education (BOE) meeting on Tuesday what is being done to keep ASD students safe.
