Community Choir to begin rehearsals for Christmas Concert

Special to The PREVIEW

Hints of fall are in the air and, for the Pagosa Springs Community Choir, that signals the start of rehearsals for the annual Christmas Concert.

Our first rehearsal is scheduled for Sept. 12 at 6 p.m. in the high school band room.

We are again planning a concert filled with joyous music for the season. The concert will include such favorites as “Carol of the Bells,” “Sleigh Ride” and “Such a Small King.” The jazz ensemble is also performing two upbeat, heartwarming selections. Dan Burch is directing the choir and Venita Burch is our accompanist.

We look forward to all of our previous singers returning, but we also hope to have new members join us. If you enjoy singing and would like to join this very talented group, we look forward to meeting you.

The first rehearsal on Sept. 12 begins at 6 p.m.; registration and welcome time with refreshments are from 6 to 7 p.m., and rehearsal is held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Subsequent rehearsals are held each Tuesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Each member is requested to pay $20 to help defray the cost of music.

Concert dates are Dec. 1, 2 and 3. If you have questions or would like additional information, please call Pattye Holton at 731-1495.
