Special to The PREVIEW
Pagosa Multi-Purpose Pavilion (PMPP), the nonprofit organization that runs the ice skating rink every winter, is selling tickets for a chance to win a $10,000 custom bathroom makeover, including a frame shower door and the possibility to have the most commonly used for shower door construction which is tempered glass. This glass goes through a process of heating and rapid cooling that leaves it much more durable than annealed glass. The edges of tempered glass remain quite vulnerable to breakage, but this product includes one more safety feature.
Only 400 tickets are being sold at $50 each and can be purchased at Antiques on Main or from any PMPP board member.
If you would like to contribute to the fundraiser but do not need a bathroom makeover, PMPP will be selling barbecue plates after the Fourth of July parade at Antiques on Main across from Riff Raff Brewing.
There will also be a beer garden and bake sale, as well as a chance to win awesome door prizes. The winning ticket for the bathroom makeover will be drawn at 6 p.m. — you do not need to be present to win.
All proceeds will be used to purchase equipment and make upgrades to the ice skating rink. For more information, go to www.skatepagosa.org or call Brian Collabolletta at 903-2394.
