The Mountain View Homemakers will be touring the Pagosa Springs History Museum for their Sept. 8 meeting. The museum is located at 96 Pagosa St. on the east side of town. Admission is free.

Members and visitors will meet there at 11 a.m. on Sept. 8 and step back into Pagosa’s past. Every inch of the museum, including the walls, is packed with photographs, ranch and farming implements, historical exhibits and so much more.

As you arrive, you will be given a list of nearby restaurants where groups of ladies can meet after the tour to eat and talk, talk, talk. We anticipate that our museum visit will end about noon.

Mountain View Homemakers is a 50-year-old women’s service organization. We are interested in bettering our lives, the lives of our families and the community as a whole. The monthly meetings include lunch and a speaker or activity.

We encourage area women to join us. Please do not think that you don’t belong because you don’t quilt or sew or cook, etc. If you have a home, you’re a homemaker.

There are no dues or membership requirements to join this friendly, interesting and diverse group of women. Call Tozi Rubin at 731-3360 with questions.
