Farmer, milkmaid, Indian scout? Did you have an ancestor in the mid to late 1700s who was impacted by our American Revolution?

The Archuleta County Genealogical Society will host Jeannine Dobbins, a knowledgeable historian from the Sarah Plat Decker Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution in Durango, at its meeting Aug. 11. Her presentation will include a look at ordinary citizens who helped support the American Revolution through their daily lives.

Information will be available on sources to use to possibly find an ancestor.

Join us at 11 a.m. Aug. 11 at the Methodist Church on Lewis Street.
