Homemakers to hear from Chamber director

Special to The PREVIEW

The Mountain View Homemakers are gathering at 11:30 a.m. on Aug. 11 at the Methodist church on Lewis Street.

We will be socializing before we enjoy a covered-dish potluck lunch provided by members. Paper goods will be provided.

After lunch, Mary Jo Coulehan, the executive director of Pagosa’s Chamber of Commerce, will be speaking. She will be telling us about all of the exciting things that are going on in our community. Coulehan is a dynamic speaker who will provide a fascinating program.

In addition, members will be voting to select nine charities that will be the recipients of the funds that the Homemakers earned from last year’s holiday bazaar and our recent auction.

Please note, our meeting is taking place at the same time as Loaves and Fishes across the street, so parking will be at a premium. Everyone is encouraged to carpool.

Mountain View Homemakers is a club dedicated to making our homes and our communities a better place. There is an interesting program at each monthly meeting.

All area women are encouraged to come and join us. There are no requirements or dues. First-time visitors are not expected to bring a covered dish. When you come for the second time, you can bring a dish because then you’re a member.
