Special to The PREVIEW

The Pagosa Springs Photography Club will hold its August meeting on Wednesday, Aug. 10, at the Community United Methodist Church on Lewis Street.

Join us for socializing at 6 p.m., followed by a brief business meeting at 6:30 p.m.

The Photography Club normally meets the second Wednesday of each month at 6 p.m. in the fellowship room of the Methodist church.

The August Photography Club meeting will feature Barbra Jetley as our speaker.

Jetley returns to Pagosa after spending a year in Okinawa, Japan. We will learn of the history, culture and beauty of the island through her photographs. She will also talk about some of the advantages and disadvantages of iPhone photography and the beauty and convenience of digital photography.

Members can bring 10-12 pictures you would like us to view after her presentation on a flash drive.

Long-time photographers and those just starting out are welcome.
