Now that you have chosen the perfect tree for your yard and planted it properly, caring for it in the next couple of years could determine how long it will live to be enjoyed.

During the establishment phase in a tree’s life cycle, primary growth occurs in the root system, with minimal growth in the canopy. The goal during these early years is encouraging this root growth and the reduction of post-planting stress.
