New tourism, recreational opportunities approved

At its meeting early last month on April 6, the Pagosa Springs Town Council approved permits for two vendors for the use of town facilities this summer. The temporary use permits will allow the vendors to offer services in public areas that are expected to enhance opportunities for visitors and residents to enjoy the pleasures of Pagosa Springs.

One permit went to Jerry Hilsabeck of Lifestyle Services LLC, operator of Boulder Coffee Café in town year-round. The temporary use permit granted to Hilsabeck will allow the operation by his business of a vending cart selling bottled beverages and ice cream products in town parks.
