Ernie “Ern Dog” Canonico, 51, of Lake Havasu City, passed away Saturday, April 16, due to post-surgical complications, with his family by his side.

Ernie lived life to the fullest. He loved fishing, boating, skateboarding, riding motorcycles, jet-skiing and all other manners of fun. More than that, he loved his family and friends.

Ern-dog was a kid at heart and a huge animal lover. He loved being outdoors and spent many summers in Pagosa Springs.

Recently, he was refurbishing stand-up jet skis, shredding at the local skate park and, of course, fishing.

He is survived by his mother, Linda; sisters Michelle (Fred) McCulloch and Jennifer (D.J.) Todd; brother Ray (Cindi); and nieces Linda Marie McCulloch and Allyson and Haylee Canonico. He is also survived by his dog, Abbie, his black Lab and constant companion.

He was pre-deceased by his father, Raymond; sister Lynn Anne; cousin Gary Baier; an uncle, Gil Shank; and his grandparents.
