On March 3, four students and teacher Bob Hemenger from the Pagosa Springs High School Americana Project class boarded a plane in Durango and headed off for Sisters, Ore., to attend The Song Academy for Youth sponsored by the Sisters Folk Festival. This gathering included over 40 talented high school students from Oregon and California. This is the fifth year students from Pagosa Springs have made the journey to learn and share their music.
