Lady Pirates look to repeat as state champions

Starting this morning, the Pagosa Springs High School Lady Pirates basketball team is back in action at the 3A state tournament in Denver — familiar territory for the team that took home the championship last year after finishing second the previous season (and losing only one game in the last three seasons).

The Lady Pirates’ foe this morning is also familiar — the Centauri Falcons.
