Lady Pirates claim sixth district title in nine years

For the sixth time in nine years, the Pagosa Springs High School Lady Pirates laid claim to the district championship Saturday evening at Centauri High School in La Jara.

With the win, and a 21-0 record, the Lady Pirates garnered the No. 1 seed heading into the state playoffs — an even better position than the team had last year.
