More homes come onto the market in January

New listings of homes for sale in Colorado increased dramatically in January to 8,061, according to statistics made available by the Colorado Association of Realtors.

Compared to December 2015, single-family home listings increased 54 percent, while condominium/townhouse listings rose 44 percent.

Experts believe this jump may be a sign that more sellers are ready to come onto the market. Even so, compared to January 2015, new listings for single-family homes were 2 percent lower and condominium-townhouse listings were down 7 percent.
