Last weekend, the Pagosa Nordic Club, along with the Rocky Mountain Sled Dog Club, sponsored the sixth annual Pagosa Paw Winter Dog Sports Event.

The Nordic event and sled dog race took place at the Toner Ranch and 37 mushers with over 100 dogs, along with many volunteers and spectators, gathered for the two-day event. Participants traveled from all over the state, as well as Arizona and Utah, to participate in this first race of the series this season.
