The Marky Egan Scholarship Fund was established in honor of Marky Egan, who lost her battle with brain cancer approximately four years ago. Egan had been the recreation supervisor and enjoyed interacting with the children of the community.

This scholarship fund helps those families who cannot afford to pay for recreation programs for their children.

If you wish to donate to this fund to provide a scholarship for a child for recreation programs, contact the Parks and Recreation Department at 264-4151, ext. 231. It costs between $30 and $35 for a child to participate in a recreation program.

Playground closure

Installation of the new playground equipment at Town Park is starting this week.

The playground will be closed through Nov. 13 for the new pirate-themed playground equipment installation. The Parks and Recreation Department apologizes for any inconvenience.

Please call the recreation office with any questions, 264-4151, ext. 231.
