The League of Women Voters will host a candidate and issues forum on Tuesday, Oct. 20, to take place in the South Conference Room of the Ross Aragon Community Center in preparation for the Nov. 3 coordinated election.

The election will coordinate issues posed by local districts, the county and state and is a mail-ballot election, with ballots mailed out to active voters on Oct. 13.

The County Clerk’s Election Office, located in the county courthouse, will serve as the official Voter Service and Polling Center.

Voted ballots may be dropped off beginning Oct. 26; hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Oct. 31, and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Election Day.

The two candidates for election to the Archuleta School District 50 JT District 4 will speak: Bill Hudson and Lisi Keuning. Districts 2 and 3 each have one candidate: Jason Peterson and Greg Schick, respectively. Discussion on district issues, the county question and state proposition from members of the audience will be allowed following presentations from selected persons or after an overview of the issue by the chair.

The public is invited to meet the candidates at 6 p.m., with the forum beginning at 7 p.m.
